“The Gospel of Christ changes everything.
Even the thing you may not want it to change."
John Piper
We celebrated a great friend in a great way last Sunday as we observed the 20th anniversary of Bro. Wayne's service here at FBCLC. What a great time with the church family! Thank you so much for sharing memories, for bringing food, for providing pictures, for giving to the offering and every other thing you did to make it such a special day. I'm looking forward to days ahead when Wayne and Diana will bring us pictures from a wonderful trip to Hawaii. Thank you also for sharing the beautiful "Love Divine All Loves Excelling" in the morning service.
I'm really looking forward to next Sunday. The orchestra will start us off with "Blessed Be the Name Medley." Our choir will be singing the new song we've come to love called "Whispered Prayers." Walter and Cathie Lou will sing the duet with Vicky playing piano and Gary Boyd playing mandolin - I can't wait to hear you! Bro. Bruce will continue the series he started last Sunday from the book of II Thessalonians. We'll also be observing the Lord's Supper this Sunday with services at 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Come expecting the Lord the do a work of cleansing and refreshing in your life.
Orchestra folks, remember the Instrumental Convergence conference at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler a week from Saturday, Mar. 3. It's going to be a great day of music, fellowship and fun!
