Glad you're here and thanks for checking us out. Here's our attempt to guess what's on your mind and answer any questions you may have. Whether you are returning to church or coming to church for the very first time, we hope you find exactly what you need here at First Baptist Church Liberty City. If we've missed something, please let us know.
What is your Sunday schedule?
Our Sunday School Classes begin at 9:00 am in the Gym and Chapel buildings. Our online listing of Sunday Bible studies provides more detail about what's available for all ages, children thru adults.
Our Morning Worship Service begins at 10:15 am in our Sanctuary. Entrances to the Sanctuary are available on all sides of the building. Our Evening Service takes place in the Chapel building at 6:30 pm. You may enter the Chapel from the east or south side of the building. Click here to view a map of our buildings.
What do I wear?
While here, you may notice that we aren’t defined by one particular style of dress. From very casual to Sunday best, our congregation is a group of ordinary people, varying in age, coming from all different backgrounds, yet unified with one purpose: and that is to worship our Great and Mighty God.
Is there anything for my children on Sunday morning?
Of course there is, we are so glad you asked! We have a place for everyone, no matter their age!
Preschool | 9:00 am | Nursery Building
Childcare is provided for newborns thru 5 year olds (provided they have not started kindergarten) during all of our regular church services. Your child will enjoy our program with age appropriate activities and Bible Studies that are chosen to provide enriching and exciting learning opportunities at FBCLC.
We offer a curriculum where children can come and learn three basic truths, “God Made Me”, “God Loves Me” and “Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever”. This is a fun packed time where the children can learn through interactive Bible study.
Pagers are also available for those who have “Bed Babies”, “Toddlers” or if you have little ones that have a hard time letting Mommy and Daddy go! We pray that this gives parents a sense of security and a peace of mind to know that their little one is being well cared for.

God’s Big Story | Family Sunday School Class
Families begin in a large group time of worship and Bible study where mom, dad and children worship and learn side by side in a family environment. After the large group time is over, children are dismissed to small groups and the adults remain in the large group for further equipping and encouragement.

Each Sunday morning, we gather for Sunday school with the focus being God’s Word. We deal with different scriptural themes on a yearly basis, always seeking to grow young believers with the truths of what God has told us in the Bible.
College/Young Adults | 9:00 am | Gym – Upstairs
College age students thru Young Adults are invited to join us for Bible study, coffee, donuts and discussion. Each week we tackle topics which affect college students today with a focus on what God’s Word has to say.
What happens on Wednesdays?
Wednesdays are great here at FBC Liberty City. You can come straight from work, enjoy dinner and fellowship around tables together, then participate in great times of worship with many activities for all ages. There is a place for everybody!

How will I find a Bible study?
Take a look at our listing of classes by clicking here. Whether you are looking for a Sunday morning class or a Wednesday night one, it will give you some idea as to where you might want to go. You can also stop by the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings (which is located in the Main Foyer of the Sanctuary), where one of our greeters will show you a listing of Bible studies/classes being offered, including a map of where each one is located.
What are the Worship Services like?
We believe true worship is not just in singing songs or in the words we say; it first begins in the attitude of our hearts and overflows into our worship, teaching and giving. We come to worship here at FBC Liberty City not for what God can give us, but for how we can glorify God and give Him praise. With our eyes fixed on Christ, our concern is not as much in the style of music or the songs selected but in lifting our hearts to worship our Savior. The focus of our worship is God. This can be clearly seen in the selection of scripture, music, and prayer in our services. While contemporary in style, we often sing the great songs of our faith. Come a little early if you have kids going to the Nursery, as our Nursery is located in the Chapel building adjacent to the Sanctuary. While you are checking your child into the Nursery, you may pick up a pager for added peace of mind. If you bring your small one to the Worship Service, we have a cry room available if you need to step out of the service. It is located in the foyer of our Sanctuary with a TV monitor so you won’t miss a thing.

What happens at FBC Liberty City during the week?
